The day started the usual way: distributing hay and taking care of the animals 🌾. After that I cleaned several stables and checked on the sick horses. Even the pigs needed attention today 🐷, so there was always something to do.
During my break I continued working on the website 💻. I was so tired that I almost fell asleep while editing the pages. But in the afternoon I pushed through the rest of the work: more hay, cleaning, and organizing the stable area.
In the evening the big moment finally came — the website was finished! 🎉 Everyone liked it, which made me incredibly proud. And as a bonus: we finally got better internet on the farm 📶. That alone felt like a huge upgrade.
📱 Tuesday, 09/08/2022
Today was my day off — and I woke up to exciting news: a foal had been born during the night! 🐴✨ Everyone was talking about it, and the atmosphere on the farm felt a little extra special.
I used the free time to tidy up my room and relax a bit. Later I went for a walk with one of the dogs 🐕. At first she was extremely energetic and pulled on the leash like crazy.
But with patience and a calm voice she slowly relaxed. By the end of the walk she was walking right next to me. Moments like that make me feel proud — it’s amazing how much dogs respond to calm guidance 🐾💖.
🌞 Wednesday, 10/08/2022
Another working day began with the usual routine: hay and stable work 🌾. Two new volunteers arrived on the farm today, so there were new faces and introductions all morning.
Unfortunately I also had a really bad sunburn 🔥🥵. Every bit of sunlight felt painful, so I tried to stay in the shade as much as possible while still doing my tasks.

The day started like always: feeding hay and cleaning stables 🧹. By now the routine felt familiar, and I moved through the tasks much faster than during my first days.
Later I was allowed to walk Samantha, one of the dogs 🐕. After only five minutes she walked calmly beside me — I was incredibly proud of both of us 🥹💗.
In the afternoon I noticed a small injured butterfly and tried to help it 🦋. Sadly it was too weak, but I still tried my best. In the evening I went for another walk with Isabella and then headed to bed, completely exhausted but happy.
🌿 Friday, 12/08/2022
The morning followed the familiar farm rhythm: hay, feeding, and stable cleaning 🌾🐴. Even though the work is physically exhausting, it already feels much more natural than during my first week.
During breaks I spent time talking with the other volunteers. Everyone comes from different countries, which makes every conversation interesting 🌍.
In the evening I mostly relaxed, listened to music, and enjoyed the calm atmosphere on the farm. Sometimes the quiet evenings are exactly what you need after a long day of work 🌙.
🎨 Saturday, 13/08/2022
Finally a day off — and I really needed it! 😌 I took my time in the morning, showered, cleaned a little, and enjoyed a slow start to the day 🧼.
Later I got creative and designed a logo for Fin 🎨. Once I started, I got completely into the flow and worked on it for quite a while.
In the evening we had long conversations with Marcus from the USA and Lucia from Spain about music, anime, and school 🎶📚. Before going to sleep I cuddled a bit with Isabella — the perfect end to a relaxed day 🐶.
🐴 Sunday, 14/08/2022
Today was a busy day on the farm. After the usual hay and stable work, chaos suddenly broke out: white paint had been spilled near the pig area 😱. We spent quite some time trying to clean everything up.
Later we took a big group photo 📸. After that something unexpected happened — I was allowed to come along to the vet because one of the horses had to be castrated.
The clinic looked more like a prison than a veterinary practice 😅. On the way back we even brought two new horses to the farm. With music playing and drinks in the car 🎶🧃, we returned home late in the evening — tired, but with another memorable day behind us.
